More about me

I joined Hivos in September 2006 and started working at the Office for Donor Relations (ODR). This Hivos support desk is in charge of seeking international funding opportunities, helping Hivos colleagues and its partners in the South write project proposals and maintaining contacts with the international donor agencies.

After finishing my MSc at Wageningen University (crop protection) I worked for about twelve years in different countries in Africa, Asia and Latin America. I gained experience in several disciplines: agricultural research and extension, communication and institutional development. Back in the Netherlands I worked for two years as an editor of an international magazine (LEISA Magazine, on sustainable agriculture).

I am Hivos because

I am Hivos because I am one of its employees. I am also Hivos because I am much concerned with international cooperation and I think that Hivos has a sound programme, interesting themes and a good strategy to be able to make a difference.
