New website Tropical Commodity Coalition

Millions of rural households across the developing world are making a living out of coffee, tea and cocoa. They face many problems in these value chains, such as low incomes, miserable working conditions, no access to markets, inequality between men and women, child labour and environmental problems.

The Tropical Commodity Coalition (TCC) consists of ten Dutch civil society organisations and cooperates closely with NGOs, including Hivos, and also and trade unions in coffee, tea and cocoa producing countries. The TCC also works with governments, traders, processors and manufacturers to improve the social, environmental and economic conditions during the production of tea coffee and cocoa.

On the new website www.teacoffeecocoa.org you can learn more about the sustainability challenges facing the tea, coffee and cocoa sector and find out what you can do to support positive change.
