Let’s Tweet a Treaty
Hivos presents the Small Climate Summit, a crowdsourced treaty based on Tweets. Far away from the diplomatic stage in Durban the Small Climate Summit in Amsterdam focuses on small and smart inventions instead of big pretensions. Ideas on Twitter #SCS were discussed live in Amsterdam on Thursday the 1st of December between 1 pm and 5 pm by a group of entrepreneurs, architects and energy specialists.

Leaders of the world gather in Durban for the official climate protocol, but expectations for a treaty, which commits countries to reduce their global warming pollution, are low. To offer an alternative Hivos welcomes everybody to join by tweeting ideas for this Small Climate Summit. The objective is to reach an alternative agreement celebrating the power of small ideas.
The Small Climate Summit is part of the Seduction Project, by Hivos ( www.seductionproject.nl), a series of experiments conducted by Hivos to save energy by influencing behaviour, inspired by the nudge concept and behavioural economics. It aspires to incite decision makers to adapt the smartest small ideas.
