Jan ter Laak deceased

Mr Jan ter Laak has passed away on March 12th 2009 at the age of 70. Hivos has cooperated in a fruitful way with Jan ter Laak for many years. Jan has contributed to the set-up of the Hivos programmes in Central Asia and Iran, respectively in 1993 en 2003.
As co-founder and secretary general of Bridging the Gulf, Jan ter Laak has also been a partner of Hivos during the past years. Hivos will remember Jan ter Laak as a busy man and a genuine networker. Civil society activists worldwide were his passion. Jan was proactive man with a lot of initiatives, very well informed en the ability to identify and mobilise the right people.
Many Hivos staff members will miss Jan ter Laak.
