I am coordinator of the Knowledge Programme on Civil Society Building.I have been working with Hivos since June 2007, after having worked for the Netherlands Institute for Multiparty Democracy and the Erasmus University Rotterdam. I have a M.Sc. in Economics, but my main professional passions are politics and democratization.

I am coordinator of the Knowledge Programme on Civil Society Building. Hivos has taken up a new role, focusing on knowledge development, outreach and application. Hivos' knowledge focus includes 5 programmes, of which the Civil Society Building programme is one of the first. We focus primarily on issues of social movements, leadership, accountability, coalition building and social change in Central America and Southern Africa.
